On Line Now . . .

I Just added three dolls;  Miss Julie, Miss Beth and Miss Carol. That makes me feel pretty good about getting 11 new dolls up on Joan’s Dolls during the month of September.

Here are my recent creations, just on the website today:

We finally got a little rain here in Tyler. It’s been vary dry and high temperatures for a couple months. The days are getting shorter as we head into September. Fall is sure to be on its way.

Till I blog again,
Love you all

Here are the new dolls Miss Annibel, Miss Grace and Miss Cecelia.  Miss Cecelia has a true story you can read about here.

Working on some great dolls for next week.

My best work

It sure is hot. Texas in August is not for the faint of heart. It has been between 97 and 104 for over two months now. And of course the humidity is high also. It hit 104 today. You can bet I’m inside with the air conditioner running and working on my dolls.

I have been crocheting for many years, but I must say, the two dolls I just placed on the website are the best I have ever done. At first glance they look the same, however, closer attention reveals how unique each is. Take a look for yourself at Joan's Dolls.

Meet Miss Mary Jane and Miss Daisy, my very best Southern Belle dolls.

Look for three more dolls by the end of this week. I’m on a roll.

See you soon. . .

Oh Boy! I fill behind...

I can’t believe it’s been so long since I posted to my blog. I was sick for a while then was on vacation in Colorado. But I’m back and ready to go. For starters, I have put three new dolls on my website Joan’s Dolls; Miss Dilma, Miss Joanna and Miss Paulette. Paulette was a very popular French name during the 1800’s in Louisiana.

I’m starting a newsletter. It will have articles about my dolls, features on Southern Plantations of Old, Southern cooking recipes and crocheting instructions just to name a few. You can signup here to receive my newsletter by email.
I’m working on two dolls now that are turning out to be some of my best work. They are just gorgeous. They’ll be up on the website soon.

See you soon
Joan
